Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a single infusion of mesenchymal stem cells is safe and feasible for people with advanced COPD. Fifteen participants received the treatment and were monitored for any immediate side effects. The goal was not to cure the disease, but to see if the approach could be used safely in future studies aimed at easing symptoms.
