First seen May 25, 2026 ยท Last updated May 25, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether a special counseling program for caregivers can improve the quality of life for both people with multiple system atrophy (MSA) and their caregivers. MSA is a rare, serious brain disease that makes daily activities very hard. The study involved 130 patients and their caregivers and tested a support program originally developed for Alzheimer's caregivers. The main goal was to see if this program helps with emotional and social well-being.
