Old diabetes drug gets new look for MS pain relief

NCT ID NCT07221799

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to check if a common diabetes pill (glibenclamide) is safe and might help reduce nerve pain in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Ten participants will first take the drug for a few days to ensure it's safe, then continue for three months to see if it eases their pain. The main goal is to understand how the body processes the drug and to monitor for any side effects.
