Spinal fluid test could predict MS severity years in advance

NCT ID NCT04496830

Summary

This study tested a new spinal fluid analysis method to improve how multiple sclerosis (MS) is diagnosed and understood. Researchers analyzed samples from 161 people with MS and other neurological conditions to see if specific biological markers could accurately identify MS, distinguish between its different forms, and predict how quickly disability might progress. The goal was to validate these tests for potential future clinical use, helping doctors make more precise diagnoses and treatment plans.
