Scientists test 'Teaching' immune cells to stop attacking the brain in MS

NCT ID NCT07020715

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a personalized cell therapy designed to slow or stop the progression of disability in people with progressive forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Doctors will take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to potentially 'calm' the immune system's attack on the brain and spinal cord, and then inject them back. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and if it can help stabilize or improve patients' physical and cognitive function over time.
