Scientists scan brains for clues to MS

NCT ID NCT07087106

Summary

This study aims to understand multiple sclerosis (MS) better by looking at how the brain uses sugar (glucose). Researchers will use a special PET scan to measure glucose consumption in the brains of 50 people, including those with different types of MS and healthy volunteers. They will compare these scans to standard MRI images, blood tests, and symptoms to see if this new scan can provide useful information for managing MS.
