Scientists test mRNA tech to reset immune system in autoimmune patients
NCT ID NCT07388212
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new type of drug that uses mRNA technology (similar to some COVID-19 vaccines) to treat people with autoimmune diseases that have come back or haven't responded to other treatments. The drug is designed to target and remove specific immune cells (B cells and plasma cells) that are thought to drive the disease. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the treatment shows any early signs of helping patients.
