Summary
This study tested whether using MRI scans to guide brachytherapy (a type of internal radiation) works better than the standard X-ray method for treating advanced cervical cancer. Over 1,000 women with stage IIB or IIIB cervical cancer took part. The goal was to see if MRI guidance improves tumor control and reduces serious side effects.
