First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether using MRI to guide prostate biopsies could detect cancer as well as the standard 12-sample systematic biopsy. Researchers enrolled 108 men aged 45-75 with elevated PSA levels. They compared three MRI-targeted samples to the usual systematic approach to see if detection rates were similar.
