Scientists test High-Tech image fusion to sharpen cancer radiation aim

NCT ID NCT05977621

Summary

This study is testing whether two types of medical images—MRI and ultrasound—can be successfully combined to create a more precise 3D map for guiding radiation treatment (brachytherapy) in patients with uterine cancer. The goal is to see if this fusion technique is feasible and could help doctors more accurately place radiation needles. The study is enrolling 17 adults with uterine cancer who are scheduled to receive curative-intent radiation.
