New MRI technique may predict chemo success earlier in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05704062

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This observational study is testing whether advanced MRI scans can predict how well breast cancer responds to chemotherapy earlier and more accurately than standard tumor size measurements. About 135 women scheduled for chemotherapy before surgery will receive additional MRI scans that measure tumor blood flow and cell density. The goal is to improve surgical planning and avoid over- or underestimating remaining cancer.
