NCT ID NCT05876026
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special MRI measurement (T1 relaxation time) can tell if rectal cancer has been completely replaced by scar tissue after standard treatment. 44 adults with locally advanced rectal cancer had MRI scans before and after chemoradiation. The goal was to see if this MRI method could accurately detect a complete response, which might help some patients avoid surgery in the future.
