Brain scan breakthrough could personalize cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT03297125

Summary

This study aims to determine if advanced MRI scans can predict which patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma (an aggressive brain cancer) will respond best to Optune therapy. Researchers will compare standard and advanced MRI images from 60 patients receiving Optune plus chemotherapy to see which scan type better forecasts treatment success. The goal is to find a reliable way to identify patients most likely to benefit from this therapy, potentially improving treatment decisions.
