First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether children as young as 6 months old can have a brain MRI scan without being sedated. Usually, young kids need medicine to keep them still for the scan, but this research tried a different approach. 23 healthy children took part to see if it's possible to get clear images while they are awake.
