Can MRI predict heart failure outcomes by measuring lung water?

NCT ID NCT03999138

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether MRI can accurately measure fluid buildup in the lungs of people hospitalized for acute heart failure. Researchers will track how lung water changes during treatment and see if these measurements can predict who is at higher risk of returning to the hospital or dying. The goal is to improve monitoring and care for heart failure patients.
