New 8-Second scan could replace painful liver biopsies
NCT ID NCT04429100
Summary
This study is testing a new, very fast type of MRI scan designed to detect early liver scarring (fibrosis) without the need for a painful biopsy. Researchers will compare the scan's results to both the current gold-standard biopsy and another non-invasive scan in 200 adults with and without liver disease. The goal is to provide a better tool for catching liver damage early, when it might still be reversible.
