MRI breakthrough could replace risky kidney biopsies
NCT ID NCT07173140
Summary
This study is testing whether new types of MRI scans can tell the difference between aggressive and non-aggressive kidney tumors before surgery. Currently, doctors often need to perform invasive biopsies to determine tumor type, which can miss important cancer cells. The research aims to help doctors identify which tumors need immediate treatment while avoiding unnecessary procedures for benign growths.
