New MRI tech aims to zap liver tumors with pinpoint precision

NCT ID NCT04020276

Summary

This study is testing a new, high-precision radiation technique for people with cancer that has spread to the liver. Using real-time MRI scans to guide the radiation, researchers aim to safely deliver the highest possible dose to the tumors while protecting nearby healthy organs. The goal is to find the most effective dose that patients can tolerate to better control the cancer.
