Sound waves target prostate cancer, aiming to spare men from surgery

NCT ID NCT05438563

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called TULSA, which uses MRI-guided ultrasound to heat and destroy prostate cancer tumors. It aims to be a less invasive alternative to surgery for men with low to intermediate risk cancer, with a key goal of preserving urinary control and sexual function. Researchers will follow 100 participants for two years to see if the treatment safely controls the cancer and improves quality of life.
