Smart brace uses MRI to straighten spines in real time

NCT ID NCT07246122

Summary

This small pilot study is testing a new type of brace for teenagers with mild to moderate scoliosis. The brace uses air pads that can be adjusted while the patient is inside an MRI scanner, allowing doctors to see and apply corrective pressure in real time. The goal is to see if this guided approach can safely and effectively reduce spinal curvature.
