Brain scans aim to stop cancer symptoms before they start

NCT ID NCT05692635

Summary

This study is testing whether regular MRI brain scans after radiation treatment can detect cancer that has spread to the brain before it causes symptoms. It involves 60 adults with stage III non-squamous lung cancer who have finished radiation. Researchers will compare how often patients develop symptomatic brain cancer to historical rates, hoping early detection leads to better management.
