NCT ID NCT04691011
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aims to find new markers in MRI scans that could help doctors detect ALS earlier and track how it progresses over time. Researchers will use advanced 3T and 7T MRI machines to scan the brain, spinal cord, and muscles of 22 ALS patients at three different time points. The goal is to link what shows up on the scans with patients' symptoms and test results to better understand the disease.
