First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests giving a short course of focused radiation to the breast tumor before surgery, using MRI for precise planning. The goal is to treat a smaller area of breast tissue and possibly reduce side effects. About 39 women with early-stage breast cancer will receive radiation, then have surgery 5-8 weeks later. Researchers will track complications and survival over five years.
