Calm your scan: simple breathing may ease MRI anxiety
NCT ID NCT05893121
Summary
This study is testing if a short, guided breathing exercise called 'cardiac coherence' can help reduce anxiety for people who feel nervous about getting an MRI scan. The researchers will enroll 60 adults who report high anxiety about their upcoming upper-body MRI. They will measure anxiety levels and scan quality to see if the breathing session makes the experience easier and improves the images.
