New MRI-Guided radiation aims to hit lung tumors without harming airways

Summary
This early-phase trial tests a precise radiation technique for lung tumors located very close to the windpipe or food pipe. Using daily MRI scans and real-time adjustments, doctors aim to deliver higher radiation doses safely. Up to 38 adults with these hard-to-treat tumors will be enrolled to find the best dose with the fewest side effects.
