First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving an extra-high radiation dose directly to the main tumor, while treating the rest of the prostate with standard doses, can cure intermediate-risk prostate cancer or keep it from coming back longer. About 91 men will receive this MR-guided, ultra-short course of radiation. The goal is to reduce the chance of cancer returning from 20% to 10% with few side effects.
