NCT ID NCT07489924
Summary
This study is testing if probiotic capsules are as good as a standard antiseptic mouthwash at reducing a specific harmful bacteria linked to gum disease. It involves 20 adults in Colima, Mexico, who have both gum disease and type 2 diabetes. All participants will first get a professional dental cleaning, then try one treatment for a month, take a break, and try the other to see which works better.
