First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether tea tree oil mouthwash works as well as chlorhexidine mouthwash for reducing pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after impacted wisdom tooth extraction. About 54 adults will use one of the two mouthwashes for 7 days after surgery and report their symptoms. The goal is to see if tea tree oil is a good alternative to the standard rinse.
