First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a mouthpiece worn during sleep can improve heart health and quality of life in people with both heart failure and obstructive sleep apnea. The device, called a mandibular advancement device (MAD), keeps the airway open. 328 adults in Singapore will use either the real device or a sham for 12 months. Researchers will measure changes in a heart stress marker, exercise ability, blood pressure, and hospital visits.
