First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a structured 12-week movement program could help children aged 4-6 with autism spectrum disorder improve their motor skills, coordination, and ability to do tasks that require both movement and attention. Twenty-eight children took part; some did the movement program twice a week plus their usual education, while others only had their usual education. Researchers measured changes using simple, non-invasive tests before and after the program. The goal was to see if regular physical activities can support early development and independence in daily life.
