Mind over muscle: imagining movements may boost shoulder surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT05670080
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding mental practice (motor imagery) to standard physical therapy can improve muscle activity, reduce pain, and speed up recovery in people who have had arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. About 36 participants will be split into two groups: one gets only physical therapy, the other adds motor imagery exercises. The goal is to see if imagining the movements helps the muscles work better and leads to greater satisfaction.
