NCT ID NCT06521138

First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether motivational interviewing—a supportive conversation style—before and after childbirth helps women feel more confident about birth control and use it more effectively. 72 pregnant women took part, with half receiving the extra conversations and half getting standard care. The results were checked 12 weeks after birth to see if the approach improved attitudes, confidence, and actual use of contraception.
