Moms with tape measures fight child malnutrition relapse

NCT ID NCT06599580

Summary

This study tests whether training mothers to regularly measure their child's upper arm circumference at home can help catch malnutrition relapse sooner. It involves 2,400 children in Burkina Faso who recently recovered from severe malnutrition. Researchers will compare relapse rates and detection times between mothers doing weekly screenings and the current standard of monthly clinic visits.
