Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called MET097, given as a monthly injection after initial weekly doses, helps people with obesity or overweight lose weight. About 250 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo (inactive shot) for over a year to see which is more effective and safe. The main goal is to measure changes in body weight after 28 weeks of treatment.
