Can immune cells predict CART therapy success in myeloma?

NCT ID NCT07180992

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how certain immune cells called monocytes affect the success of CART cell therapy in people with multiple myeloma. Researchers will measure monocyte levels and types before and after treatment in 25 patients. The goal is to find clues that could help predict who will respond best to CART therapy.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors predict which multiple myeloma patients will respond best to CART cell therapy.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early observational study with only 25 participants. It is not testing a new treatment, so it may not lead to direct patient benefits.
