Wearable tech & AI aim to predict deadly surgery complications
NCT ID NCT07300579
Summary
This large international study aims to understand and predict serious complications that can happen after non-heart surgery in older adults. It will follow 20,000 patients aged 65+ for a year, using a wearable sensor to collect health data for the first 30 days. The goal is to use this data to build AI models that can spot early warning signs of heart injury, severe bleeding, and infections before they become critical.
