Brain oxygen monitor for babies during surgery: study pulled before it began
NCT ID NCT04132414
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study planned to test whether a special brain oxygen monitor (NIRS) could help prevent dangerously low oxygen levels in babies under 6 months old during non-cardiac surgery. The monitor would have been used alongside standard equipment to guide anesthesia care. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
