Summary

This study looked at over 1,100 adults in the US whose high blood pressure stays high despite taking multiple medications. Researchers checked if these people also have a hormone condition called endogenous hypercortisolism, where the body makes too much cortisol. Participants gave blood and urine samples and some had a CT scan. The goal was simply to find out how common this hormone problem is in this group, not to test any treatment.
