NCT ID NCT07275879
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compares a modified double-J ureteral stent with a thinner loop at the bladder end to a standard stent in 40 adults with kidney or ureteral stones. The goal is to see if the new design reduces common side effects like pain, blood in urine, and discomfort, which affect up to 80% of patients and lower quality of life. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the modified or standard stent after stone removal, and their symptoms and quality of life will be tracked using a detailed questionnaire.
