Scientists reprogram Patients' own cells to hunt HIV

NCT ID NCT03617198

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new approach to treating HIV. Researchers collect a patient's own immune cells, genetically modify them to better target HIV, and then infuse them back into the body. The main goals are to check if this process is safe and to see if the modified cells can help control the virus, especially when regular HIV medication is paused.
