New snare technique may offer faster, safer tumor removal

NCT ID NCT07373015

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways to remove small rectal neuroendocrine tumors (less than 1 cm). The new method, called modified double snare EMR, is expected to be just as effective as the standard ESD procedure but with shorter operation time, fewer complications, and lower cost. About 118 adults with these tumors will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures to see which works better.
