First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests two manual therapy techniques—modified Sims manipulation and lumbar roll manipulation—in 60 adults with sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Participants will receive one of the two treatments, and researchers will measure changes in pain, quality of life, and well-being. The goal is to find which approach offers better relief for this common cause of chronic low back pain.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
manual therapy (modified Sims manipulation and lumbar roll manipulation)
What this could lead to
If one technique proves better, it could offer a simple, drug-free option for managing chronic low back pain from the sacroiliac joint.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The therapies are manual and effects can vary.
