Herbal hope: traditional chinese medicine may tame rare muscle disease
NCT ID NCT07472777
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested a modified Chinese herbal formula (Guilu Erxian Glue) in 231 people with myasthenia gravis, a chronic muscle-weakening disease. Researchers looked at whether adding this herbal treatment to standard Western medicine could lower relapse rates and reduce the need for conventional drugs over time. The goal was better disease control, not a cure.
