First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a modified version of the O'Sullivan Functional Balance test is a reliable way to measure balance in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). 44 volunteers with MS completed several balance and walking tests. The goal is to give clinicians a simple, fast tool to assess balance problems and guide rehabilitation.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could give doctors a quick, reliable tool to assess balance in MS patients, helping to plan better rehabilitation and reduce fall risk.

What could go wrong

This is a small, completed study focused on measurement accuracy, not a treatment. The test may not prove useful in all patients or settings.
