Wakefulness drug tested to combat debilitating cancer fatigue

NCT ID NCT05333250

Summary

This study is testing if a medication called modafinil can help reduce severe fatigue and thinking problems (often called 'chemo brain') in people with advanced cancer. About 40 patients will take either the drug or a placebo pill for one week to see if it makes a difference. The main goal is to gather initial evidence on whether this approach works and is practical for a larger future study.
