Summary

This study tests whether teaching patients how to move safely after lumbar stabilization surgery—using virtual reality videos and brochures before the operation—can reduce pain, anxiety, fear of movement, and fear of falling, and improve mobility. Sixty adults having their first lumbar stabilization surgery will be split into two groups: one gets the training, the other gets usual care. Researchers will measure outcomes using standard scales after surgery.
