Summary
This study tested if bringing healthcare directly to people who inject drugs via a mobile van could improve their health. The van, linked to a needle exchange program, offered HIV testing and treatment, addiction medication, and other services. Researchers wanted to see if this approach was effective, practical, and affordable for 720 participants in Baltimore.
