Phone app & brain zap tested to ease pain for young cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT05746429

Summary

This study tested a new way to help young survivors of childhood bone cancer manage their chronic pain. Researchers first worked with Black and Hispanic survivors to adapt a mobile therapy app to be more culturally sensitive. They then tested if using this app, along with a mild, non-invasive brain stimulation device, could reduce pain and improve daily life for a diverse group of 30 young survivors over 6 weeks.
