Can a grocery bus on wheels fight hunger and improve diets?
NCT ID NCT05672186
Summary
This study tested whether bringing a full-service mobile grocery market to low-income neighborhoods improves people's diets and reduces food insecurity. Researchers enrolled 262 primary food shoppers living near 12 community sites. Half the sites received the mobile market first—a bus selling affordable, healthy food—while the other half served as a waitlist control, allowing researchers to compare changes over six months.
