Fitness trackers fight fatigue: app helps young cancer patients get moving
NCT ID NCT06182163
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile health program could help adolescents and young adults with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) reduce their sitting time during maintenance chemotherapy. Twenty participants used fitness trackers with movement reminders, received coaching, and joined app-based peer support groups over 10 weeks. Researchers measured whether this approach was practical and acceptable, and whether it might improve participants' activity levels, quality of life, and metabolic health.
